Salt+Light TV has the Christmas season covered this year.

Canada’s Catholic television station will be filled with Christmas programming in the days leading up to the Dec. 25 celebration of Our Lord’s birth, and beyond.

Music will play a huge role in programming, with various concerts taking up a large chunk of the schedule. Included are The Birth of Christ concert, airing first on Dec. 22 at 8 p.m. and 12 a.m. and repeating several times in the days to follow. The O Come All Ye Faithful concert also airs beginning Dec. 22, and Salt+Light’s own Venite Adoremus benefit concert with The Priests will air Dec. 24. The Christmas concert from the Vatican is to air at 5 a.m. on Christmas Day as well.

Coverage of Vatican celebrations will also play a huge role in the schedule. The Midnight Mass with Pope Benedict XVI will be broadcast live at 4 p.m. on Christmas Eve, and rebroadcast at midnight and 3 a.m. Christmas morning. Salt+Light will also be airing the Christmas Day Mass from the Vatican (11 a.m.), followed by the Christmas Mass from Bethlehem at 5 p.m. Dec. 25.
